Tutorial to make one flower: link
Number of flowers required to make kusudama is 12. Totally 60 square sheets required. Assembly in dodecahedron fashion. Glue required to assemble.
I wanted to stop doing Origami with 1000 cranes. I thought this is it and I will stop, but then that didn't happen. Origami is like meditation which gives me lot of peace and happiness and mainly a diversion from the routine. It's 5 years now since I have been folding. Earlier when I began I bought a pack of printer papers and cut the papers to squares and folded. That is lot of time consuming. Now I feel very lazy to cut the sheets and fold. However this Butterfly Kusudama is made using printer papers. The models are sturdier with printer papers. I made Morning Dew Kusudama long time back, which I felt I didn't assemble neatly. This one is from the same book by Makoto Yamaguchi and loved the kusudama. I made sure I folded neatly and assembled neatly as well!!
