Origami Christmas Poinsettia tutorial(niceno1)

Designed by : NiceNo1

Single sheet origami. I used regular kami colored on both sides. It's a very nice flower, can be used for any festive decorations.

The author has embellished the flower with tiny gold bearings. I so fell in love with this flower, that I ordered gold beads on amazon and glued the gold beads to the flowers. The lovely design looks darn pretty. It enhances the beauty of the flower.

Garland or wreath Froebel module - Isa Klein

It is not mentioned about the designer. So I am not sure if it's a traditional model or is designed by Isa Klein. Whatever it is, this is a very easy to make and a beautiful wreath/garland.

8 units of 6 inch square sheets. I took duo colored sheets.

This is a very easy to fold model. Origami holy spirit.

I don't know the designer.

Origami elf

Designed and demonstrated by Riccardo Foschi.

Tutorial here:

Single sheet origami. I took 9 inch square sheets.

This is an intermediate fold. I stumbled at a couple places but glad I could figure out. The final piece was satisfactory though not 💯 neat.

Christmas Origami Snowflake - David Walker

Designed by - David Walker

Single Sheet Origami. I used A4 printer sheets to fold.

I had come across this Snowflake several times before but then hadn't ventured to fold. I don't know why I took so long to fold this one. It's not so difficult. Design looks awesome in Sunlight.

Origami Christmas wreath

Designed by - Lidiane Siqueira

I took 8 sheets of 4 inch chiogami papers

The units are easy to fold and assemble. You get incredible design following easy steps.

I had decided to do fewer Christmas special models but turned out to fold more than I expected to.

This model was demonstrated by live IGTV series hosted by Mariela of origami maniacs. The recorded live video is available in her IG account.

The snowflakes are designed by NiceNo1, I have posted it already in the blog. I used it for simple decoration.

Stellar origami Nakshatras

Designed by - Nikhil S

Book - Stellar origami Nakshatras, Vol 1

I used 3 inch origami duo coloured sheets. Try with different colours to get beautiful patterns.

The book has many models starting from beginners to low intermediate. I just bought the book yesterday. Still have to go through completely.

These are derivation from Robert Neale's 8 point star.

Origami Hearty Santa (Beth Johnson)

This Hearty Santa is so damn cute that I couldn't help but fold 5 of them, one Santa and 4 elves for Santa's help 😀

Designed by : Beth Johnson

Single sheet origami. Duo paper is preferred so the heart stands out.

A lovely and fairly simple to fold. However I do not suggest it for beginners.

For the Santa Claus I took 9 inch square sheet and for the elves I took 6 inch square sheet.

Origami Angel

I created Instagram account. I so didn't want to be on any social media but instagram is easy to connect with artists and get inspired by other fellow origamists. The link to my instagram is given on the top right corner of this blog.

Origami angels, it's nice to fold for Christmas. I have never done any specials before. This time I thought I will run some specials for Christmas. This December will be only Christmas specials.

Origami Sakura Star

Designed by : David Martinez

Single sheet origami. I used printer papers, colored on both sides and cut pentagon from rectangle.

As suggested in the video by Leyla Torres I cut pentagon from 3 inch Origami paper and inserted in the middle, so we get a different color inside. It can be clearly seen in the yellow star with green color inside. Others are not prominent in photo, it looks plain black , actually they are dark magenta and dark bottle green.

As it's Christmas time, this is a nice model to fold to embellish Christmas tree.

Video tutorial by Leyla Torres:

How to cut Pentagon from square is shown in the above video by Leyla Torres

Origami wreath by Isa Klein

This is a very simple and beautiful wreath. As Christmas is nearing, I was looking for some stars or wreaths and I came across this wreath.

I used 6 inch square double sided origami paper. 8 units required.

I used glue to assemble so I can preserve it for long.

The tutorial is in Portugese. I did not understand a single word in it. But then, for origami, language is no barrier. The visual presentation is sufficient.

So I don't know who is the creator. Whether it's a traditional model or not.
