Kusudama marble origami

 

This kusudama is a variation of basic sonobe. It's fun to fold. Requires 30 units. No glue required for assembly.

It's a very cute ring, pretty easy to fold.

Claire kusudama

30 units required. I used 3 inch  duo papers. Can be assembled without glue. I assembled without glue first. Though the model was pretty stable, there were holes between the flowers. If there were one or two holes, I would've left it. But There were many holes, some were big. I was not happy. So I disassembled everything and assembled again with glue. It's neat and will last long.....

Paper type : Printer paper

No of units : 6 for the flowers (blue) and 12 green units to connect the flowers

Paper size : 5 inch square sheets for flowers and to make green units

Difficulty : Low intermediate.

I felt this model looks better with different colors for flowers. With duo paper, the center will be different colored.

Posting on 2 April 2022. I saved this post in draft because I was not happy with my folding and photography. Now looking at it in 2022, I feel very nostalgic. Hence posting despite of poor photography and folding.
