Rose units - Stellated Truncated Dodecahedron

 

I recently bought Tomoko Fuse's book The complete book of Origami Polyhedra. I started folding rose units Stellated Dodecahedron and totally got addicted to it. It had also been a while since i folded Polyhedra. This is the last of the Rose units Polyhedra series. This one is Stellated Truncated Dodecahedron. It has 90 units. I took 3 inch square duo origami papers and took 7-8 hours to fold without using glue. I completed this in one day though it was a little stressful. But totally loved the process. I would love to fold more of these type of Polyhedra in future.

I took 6 inch and 8.25 inch square sheets. Single sheet origami.

I used printer paper. May be I should've used regular Kami. 

No glue required. Assembly of last unit is a little tricky.

144 sheets required. 12 cubes. 12 papers per cube. No glue.  I took 4 inch square duo papers.

It took me two days. Almost 6-7 hours to complete. It's not as complicated as it looks. Making individual units is pretty easy. Assembly is also fairly easy except for the last cube, needs a lot of patience.

Origami tulip wreath

 

Things had been pretty crazy over the last three months. I haven't had time for origami. Yesterday I sat for a couple of hours and folded this beautiful wreath which was in my to-do list.
