Majestic mosaic

Majestic mosaic designed by Meenakshi Mukerji.

It's a very pretty model. Requires lot of patience and gentle hands during assembly. At least during the first half of the assembly till model gets stable we have to go gentle and careful. I did not use glue here.

30 units required. I used 3 inch regular kami. Making individual units is very easy.

Tulip kusudama

Tulip kusudama designed by Ekaterina Lukasheva.

30 units required. I used 3 inch duo square papers. No glue used. Assembly is a little tricky. Need some patience. I found it a little difficult to open the petals, tore the paper here and there. It's a stable model in the end, very pretty.

She was inspired by Miki Takaoka's post on Facebook.

This kusudama requires 30 units of one type and 30 units of other. Totally 60 units. I used 4 inch duo paper. 1:2 ratio that is 2:4 inch. No cuts and no glue required.

It requires 2-3 hours but it's lot of fun.

Triplets kusudama

Triambic icosahedron

Triambic icosahedron. This is a variation of basic sonobe. It had been years since I folded a sonobe. I thought I had lost touch. So I practised with basic sonobe and voila!!!! I still had it in me. I then went on to fold this triambic icosahedron.

30 units required. No glue for assembly. Fairly simple. I would say a beginner level.

I used 6 inch duo paper. But I suggest to use 3 inch paper.

I used regular kami.
