Start from hexagon by dividing it into 32 grids.

When I first watched the video to check if it's doable, I felt it might be bit challenging. But when I dived into the tessellation, it was easy.

I took 5 cm paper.... This is the smallest I've folded. For size reference I've placed it beside a 10 Rupee Indian coin. 

It's an easy fold, hence decided to try it out with smaller paper.

This is one design I found challenging to fold. I failed in my first attempt, it was hard for me to figure out the folds, after an hour or so I lost patience and crumpled up the paper and threw away.

Next day with more patience I started it back and I could make it... I could make both variations... The second variation was much easier since I had figured out the steps...

It's a beautiful design.... I loved it very much... Worth the effort... The satisfaction I got after I successfully folded is unexplainable.

For this, I took 6 inch square sheet of paper. This is one sheet origami. No cut, no glue...

I loved the design, though I scratched my head here and there to analyse. But it was total fun and a wonderful maple leaf....

I saw this crane in @ozneyer profile and got inspired to fold.

I usually do not want to post everyday, but lately I've folded many origami stuff and some very interesting designs. I didn't want to post today since I just posted yesterday, but I folded this fancy and enchanting crane yesterday late evening. It's a beautiful and an interesting design. I saw this is @ozneyer profile and wanted to give it a try.... Enjoy the dragon crane.

No glue. I totally loved this star. I tried with one color combination at first. Was not so happy with the outcome. Then I saw @dutchfolder had used harmony papers. I tried with harmony, still not satisfied with my work. Finally I saw another folder's photo. He had used multi colour. With that I totally loved the outcome. It's a fantastic design, worth giving a try.

The steps are intermediate,  but the final effect is simply wonderful.

I have gotten bored of modulars these days, so I'm looking for one sheet wonders. One sheet wonders can be quite challenging.

Home decoration with self-made origami models

 

I was having a very lethargic Saturday. I practically do nothing special on weekends. My weekdays and weekends are pretty much the same. I had folded many origami models lately and they were lying all around my apartment like abandoned junk pieces. With them lying all around, it was difficult to clean the racks too. So I thought of rearranging the display by hanging them from the ceiling, sticking to the door entrance etc...

Here are some photos of my display. Who knows I might change them in future too, when I get bored again 😜
